In order to ensure better health for mothers and their newborns, OB-GYNs must identify risk factors that negatively impact pregnancy early on and work to maintain the whole picture of their pregnant patients’ health. However, OB-GYNs aren’t incentivized to do this under a fee-for-service payment model.
