CHARDON, Ohio — University Hospitals received $300,000 to create a digital breast imaging suite in rural Geauga County.
The Geauga Medical Center will in the spring open the Frohring Breast Imaging Suite, named after The William O. and Gertrude Lewis Frohring Foundation that donated the funds.
The Frohring family’s ties to UH go back decades. Chemist William O. Frohring created the earliest infant formula at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. And the foundation in 1995 created the The William O. Frohring Family Resource Center at Rainbow.

At the Payer Insights sessions on Day 1 of ViVE 2024, a panel on prior authorization offered compelling insights from speakers who shared the positive developments in this area after years of mounting frustration. Speakers also shared challenges as they work with providers to figure out how policy developments and technology will work in practice.
Frohring Foundation President Glenn Frohring is a former member of the Geauga Medical Center Board of Directors.
The imaging suite will be integrated with the Ireland Cancer Center which has a satellite at Geauga Medical Center.
